A cluster of Pore Poly filter tubes set in a tube sheet form the heart of many varieties of filter units manufactured by ROYSTON GROUP.  The dust laden air passes through the filter tubes from the outside where the dust is retained until cleaned.  The clean air discharges through the open end of the tubes.  The tube sheet forms a barrier between the dirty and clean section of the filter.  Filter tubes can be cleaned repeatedly.

The following shows profiles and gives a brief synopsis of the styles of filter units presently available.  Custom designs are also available for those applications not covered by these models.

 

PPF SERIES INLET FILTERS

A line of inlet filters for the protection of blowers and compressor intakes.  Since filter tubes can be cleaned repeatedly and are not damaged by most chemical fumes, filter elements last indefinitely.  Weather hood is standard and units are supplied with female pipe threads through 5” sizes and 125 lb. ASA flange drilling on larger sizes.

ILFY SERIES INLINE FILTERS

A line of inline filters for installation in the suction piping of vacuum pumps or downstream of blowers to protect machinery or process from dirt contamination.  Features are “pipe line” style installations and quick removal clamps to access element for cleaning.

 

 ILFB SERIES INLINE FILTERS

A series of inline filters for installation in the suction line of vacuum pumps or downstream of blowers to protect machinery or process from dirt contamination.  Filter tubes are cleaned by a mechanical shaker (air or electric) at the end of the operating cycle. Or by manually cleaning by removal of top cover.  Accumulated dirt is removed by unbolting the bottom cover.

 

ILFA SERIES INLINE FILTERS

A line of inline filters similar in design to the ILFB series except that a cone bottom is supplied so that material can be continuously discharged through an optional rotary air lock or intermittently through a butterfly or flap valve. They can be used as a filter receiver for pneumatic conveying systems. Filter tubes are cleaned at the end of the operating cycle by a mechanical shaker.
 

BVLC, BVNC, MBVC BIN VENT FILTERS

Used to clean escaping air from silos and bins. Features a closed cover so that the discharged air (or gas) may be recycled or piped to an exhaust fan for system pressure balancing. Filter tubes are cleaned by mechanical shaking (using a compressed air vibrator) at the end of the cycle. Accumulated dust falls back into the silo or bin.
 

BVL, BVN, MBV BIN VENT FILTERS

Operates same as BVLC, BVNC, and MBVC filters except that clean air discharges to atmosphere. A weather hood is provided to protect unit from the elements. Tubes are cleaned by vibration (using a compressed air vibrator) at end of cycle. Smaller sizes can be provided with manual shakers

 
OTHER STYLE INLINE FILTERS

A line of filters utilizing paper, wool, nylon, or oil mesh filter elements are available for inline protection. Elements are cleaned by manually washing or with compressed air. Elements have limited cleaning cycles before replacement is necessary (compared to unlimited cleaning cycles with the Pore Poly elements.)
