1892 (1892 taken from calendar.) Our S.S opened on May 22nd by Bro. Day with a lesson hymn and a prayer. There were several visitors. The collection taken up amounted to 75 cents. There has been $2.52 cents of the penny collection paid out for literature for the school.
Our S.S. was opened at the usual hour on the 29th by the Supt. All of the officers were present except one. There were several visitors present. After the business was over Mr. Shipley addressed the School ij a very pleasant manner which was enjoyed by all. The collection amounted to 10 cents.

Praise verses distributed to the school.to be recited for Children’s Day Cards for attendance to the scholars. One award card given for five attendance cards. No collection taken. School closed with hymn No. 17 in Gospel Hymn No. 5 and the Lord’s prayer in concert. There was a recess of five minutes given, then the exercises began for Children’s Day with hymn No. 4. Several of the children spoke. The little children sang very sweetly the “Sweet Story” and “Footprints of Jesus.” There were several more hymns sung by the choir, then Brother Shipley addressed the school.
